June Carolyn Lee

June Carolyn Carlson Lee died Monday evening, May 7, 2018, at The Villages Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. She was 91 years old. June was born on June 26, 1926, in Greenwood Lake, New York, to Alice M. Moller and John Joseph Carlson, the second of eight children – four girls and four boys.

She attended Browns Business School and immediately started working in the Payroll Department at Tylo Roofing, where she met Warren Lee. They married the following year and had two daughters, Linda June Buch (Stephen) of The Villages, FL, and Laura Jean Lee (Jim McPhee and later Robert Dulac) of Sangerville, Maine.

June and Warren loved to square dance, starting on Long Island and continuing in The Villages with The Orange Blossom Squares, until 1993 when the “love of her life” passed away.

June was preceded in death by her parents, an older sister and two younger brothers. She is survived by her sisters Ruth Melay of The Villages and Norma Kelloff of Springfield, Virginia, her sister-in-law Carlyle Carlson, The Villages, brothers Robert Riley (Jackie), Newcastle, CA, and Louis Tilden Riley (Kathy), Panama, as well as four grandsons, three great-grandsons, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, May 14, from 3 – 5 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home, 134 N. Hwy. 27/441, Lady Lake, FL, with a church service on Tuesday, May 15, 11 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church in The Villages (corner of Morse Blvd and CR 466), with a luncheon to follow.

Interment will be at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
