John Joseph Mulrane

John Joseph Mulrane, 76, Leesburg, Florida, passed away on February 9, 2018 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center, Leesburg, Florida with his loving wife, Joann by his side. Mr. Mulrane was born on March 7, 1941 in New York City, New York to his parents James Mulrane and Helen (Dolan) Mulrane.

Mr. Mulrane was a retired Administration Specialist for the New York City Transit Authority. He and his wife moved to Leesburg in 1999 from Coram, Long Island, New York. He was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Leesburg, Florida.

Mr. Mulrane was a proud member of the Royal Highlands Homeowners Association where he volunteered to help keep his community beautiful. He was an avid reader of science fiction books and history as well as watching new science fiction movies.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years: JoAnn Mulrane of Leesburg, FL; a son: Michael Gentile and his wife Jennifer of Charlotte, NC; a daughter: Lisa Mulrane of Florida; a sister: Alice Ortiz of New York; three grandchildren: Bailey, Carter and Owen and several loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at donors@stjude.org in John’s loving memory.
