Janice L. Martin, of The Villages, FL, passed away on February 10, 2018 at the Villages Hospital surrounded by her family. Janice was born on May 13, 1942 in Middletown, Ohio to John and Lucy Perrin.
Janice attended Middletown College in Middletown, Ohio. She retired from Novartis and American Express Company as a corporate travel planner. Janice married Walter Martin and moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to follow his career.
Janice was very active in several clubs, including past president of the Villages Croquet Club, past president of the Women’s Guild at St. George Episcopal Church, member of Villages Theater Company, The Way, Way, Way Off Broadway Theater, Starlight Players, and enjoyed playing golf. Janice and her devoted husband moved to the Villages in 2004 and spent many happy years in the company of friends.
She was a dedicated and caring wife and mother who encouraged her children to pursue their dreams and aspirations. She passed away after a long illness but persevered with much courage in trying to beat her illness. But in the end, God did not want her to suffer anymore.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers John Thomas Perrin, and Dale Perrin. She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Walter; daughters Pamela Dimry (Derick) of the Villages, and Carolyn Martin, Oakland, CA; brothers Dwight Perrin (Juanita), Plano TX, Herbert Perrin (Carolyn) Germantown, OH; sister, Marcia Jemison, Springboro, OH; and sister–in-law Deborah Perrin, Dallas, TX.
A visitation will take place at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Friday, February 16, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. George Episcopal Church in The Villages on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment will be at a later date in the family plot in Middletown, Ohio.
