Janet Ruth Harper

Janet Ruth Harper (nee McNerney), 94, of The Villages, FL, passed away on April 17, 2018.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years Albert Harper and a large family that loves her very much.  Children include Kathy Yezbick (Patrick), Kris, Tom (Vickie), Larry (Tina), Joan Burns (Patrick), Beth Bryant (Jack), Susan, and Jim (Lisa). Another son, John, passed away in 2014. She is a Grandmother to 36, a Great Grandmother to 41 and a Great-Great Grandmother to 7.  A legacy of 93 people!

A resident of The Villages, Florida for 17 years, Janet was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1923.  After marrying Al in 1945, they resided in Toledo until moving to Westland, Michigan in 1958 and then moving to Medina, Ohio in 1972.  They relocated to The Villages in 2001 and are currently residents of Elan Assisted Living.  Janet was a fully dedicated mother and wife throughout her marriage.  She enjoyed playing cards, board games, planting flowers each Spring, and visiting with family.

A Funeral Mass of Celebration will be held on Friday, April 20 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Lady Lake, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a local St. Vincent de Paul Society or your favorite charity.
