James E. Smith

James E. Smith, 74, born on March 24, 1944, of The Villages, FL, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at home with his loving family present.

Originally from Albany, New York, James served as an Albany Fireman for 28 years; serving for several years and the President of the Albany Firefighters Union. James is a member of the Pennecamp Woods Group; and a member of the Albany, NY Elks Club.

James is survived by his loving wife Angela M. Smith, his three children, Christine (Daniel) Bologna, and sons James (Michelle), and William. James also has five grandchildren, Zachary Tucker, Josh Smith, Nicholas Smith, Daniel Bologna, Jr. and Sophia Bologna. James is also survived by his loving mother, Elizabeth Rothmund. James was predeceased by his father, William Rothmund.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, June 28th at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5323 E. Co. Road 462, Wildwood, FL, with a mass immediately following.
