James A. Phillips

James A. Phillips, 87, of The Villages, FL, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg, FL.  Born on March 15, 1931 in New Castle, DE to the proud parents of Elbert D. & Anna Mae (Dryden) Phillips.

Jim worked as a stone mason, brick layer and was an Apiarist for seven years.  He was a Korean War Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and he enjoyed being outside, working with his Palm Trees, Fruit Trees and plants.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Marie (Greenway) Phillips of The Villages; his daughter, Virginia Lynn Phillips, married to Alfred R. Roach Jr. of Sarasota, FL; his son, James A. Phillips Jr., married to Kelly Phillips, Port St. Lucie, FL; his sister, Joyce Park of Estes Park, CO; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.  Jim was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; a daughter, MaryAnn Hollenbach and a grandson, Sean Hollenbach.

Placement At Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL will be held at a later date.
