Husband and wife get back-to-back holes-in-one

A couple from the Village of Largo was playing Jan. 26 with neighbors at Heron Executive Golf Course and got back-to-back holes-in-one on the first hole.

“We were told the odds of this happening are over 100 million to one,” said Villager Chuck Mooney.

Despite the long odds, he and and his wife, Peggy O’Brien, accomplished this feat.

“We were playing with our neighbors and Deb (next door) shot first, then my wife, and then me. The length of the hole was 92 yards and it was the first hole on the course,” Mooney said.
