To the Editor:
What a great idea to track dogs’ DNA. I’ve thought about something like that myself when I walk in areas where people do not pick up after their pets. I am a dog owner myself and I pick up in my yard and anywhere I walk her. Doggy DNA would only work IF ALL PEOPLE submitted their doggy DNA. I have a gut feeling that those who don’t scoop won’t be participating and paying the fees so it will not work. How can you force someone to bring in their doggy DNA? How do you know they are submitting their own dog’s DNA? What happens if you get a new dog? Too many questions. Cameras may be better.
