Homes without water after water main break in Village of Calumet Grove

Villagers were without water Saturday after a water main break on Legacy Lane in the Village of Calumet Grove.

“There will be 17 homes affected and will be without water until the repairs are made, lines flushed, and disinfected,” said Assistant District Manager Richard Baier.

The homes will be under a precautionary boil water notice when the water comes back on.

Homes impacted are at 17360-17364, 17361-17365 SE 79th Wicklow Court and 17340-17350, 17341-17349 SE 80th Biltmore Avenue.

All homes affected will be notified of the boil water requirements and all those affected will be notified when samples have come back clear. This process usually consists of a two day sampling period to ensure safe drinking water,” Baier said.
