Gregory Griffith, 84, of The Villages, Florida, passed away March 6, 2018 at The Villages Regional Hospital, The Villages, Florida. Gregory was born on November 5, 1933 in St. Petersburg, Florida a son of the late Morris and Marjorie (Tooke) Griffith. He was the husband of Marjorie Ward Pruett.
He was a retired Veteran of the U.S. Air Force retiring as a Tech Sergeant and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was an active volunteer of several ministries at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Belleview, FL.
Gregory is survived by Marjorie Ward Pruett and son, Scott Edward Griffith and his wife Kathy of Waterford, WI and daughters, Candace Lee Griffith of Macon, GA, and Cynthia Louise Poole and her husband Greg of Macon, GA. He has 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 5750 SE 115th Street, Belleview, FL 34420. Memorials in his name may be sent to the Camp Wingman Scholarship Program c/o St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.
