Grass fire burns up Ford F-250 in southern Marion County

A grass fire burned up a Ford F-250 pickup Tuesday afternoon in southern Marion County.

At 2:19 p.m., Marion County Fire Rescue  units in District 3 (South Marion County) were dispatched to a vehicle fire, spreading into a grass fire. The 911 caller stated that structures could be in danger.

Firefighters from MCFR Belleview Station #18 arrived on scene to find an F-250 fully involved in flames. Firefighters quickly extinguished the vehicle fire as well as the grass fire.

Both fires were called under control at 2:31 p.m.
