Championship and Executive Golf Courses in The Villages will remain closed through Monday, Sept. 18, according to an announcement from Golf Management Solutions.

Erik Greulach of GMS said courses suffered “significant damage.”

“We will continue to evaluate and open as soon as conditions are safe and enjoyable to play,” Greulach said.

Many courses remain flooded in the wake of torrential rains which accompanied Hurricane Irma.
