Golf cart drivers crossing the bridge at Lake Sumter are getting a gentle reminder about their speed.
The posted speed limit on the bridge is 10 miles per hour.
Anyone crossing the bridge in a golf cart knows that the 10 mph speed limit is largely ignored.
Golf cart drivers coming off the bridge are being shown their speed courtesy of a speed trailer set up by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
The multi-modal paths are crowded with so many returning snowbirds.
A brush-up on golf cart safety could be useful at this time of year.
