Gerald ‘Jerry’ Petersen

Gerald “Jerry” Petersen, 90, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 after a short illness. Jerry worked as a jeweler, owning his own store in Wisconsin for several years. He then became an insurance agent for Rogers Benefit Group for many years. He was a born again Christian and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army. He was very pleased to have taken part in The Honor Flight Program in The Villages. Jerry enjoyed golf and bowling with his friends. He was preceded in death by his son, David Petersen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Connie Petersen; son, Scott Petersen (Fran); Connie’s extended loving family including, Cary Ryan (Karen), Cheri Warren (Steve) and numerous grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 2pm – 3pm at Immanuel Baptist Church, 8015 SE 180th St, Oxford, FL 34484. The funeral service, with Pastor Mike Dameron officiating, will follow at 3pm. Burial will take place in Wisconsin at a later date.
