George B. Dudek

George B. Dudek

George B. Dudek, of The Villages, FL, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018. He was 93 years old. George was born in Duquesne, PA and was a proud Veteran of WWII. He served in the U.S. Navy.

All his life, he worked hard for his family to provide for all of their needs and desires. More importantly, his love for his family created a wonderful, supportive environment to grow. He saw most of the world between his time in the Navy, round trips with his wife and daughter and cruises with his wife. Later in life, he found love again and enjoyed dancing and traveling with his companion, Bridget.

George was married for 57 years to the love of his life, Mary, who preceded him in 2010. He is survived by his daughter, Monica Poorbaugh, son-in-law Mark Poorbaugh; three grandchildren: Melissa (Ed) Tchen, Nicole (Craig) Broder and Danica Poorbaugh. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren and his companion, Bridget Terzich.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1351 Paige Place, The Villages, FL 32159. Urn placement at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL will take place on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. with Naval Honors.
