I read many letters about the gate attendants.
Yes, many pro’s and cons, but here is a problem I came across the other day. A car pulls into my driveway and a man comes up to my door holding a piece of paper in his hand, and starts going through his speech about having my house painted. I asked him who sent him and he stated he was going through The Villages with a list of addresses, so he stopped at the Shay Gate and asked for directions to my house. When I asked him where he got the list of names and addresses, he would not answer me and started walking away. I called Community Watch, told them what happened. I was told they have no control over people coming through The Villages trying to sell. I asked the person that I thought these type of people were not allowed on the property. It’s very scary to me seeing how my house was broken into several weeks ago. So who can tell me what is going on?
