Frederick ‘Fred’ Oak

Frederick “Fred” Oak, age 82, of Summerfield, FL, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. He was born in Detroit, MI on March 27, 1935.

He lived most of his life in Michigan. Upon retirement he moved to Crossville, TN and then to Summerfield, FL. During his life he worked at AT&T where he retired as a Supervisor. He enjoyed volunteering for Habitat for Humanity in Tennessee where he received several volunteer awards. Fred loved golfing and boating.

He is survived by his wife Sarah Oak; sons Robert Oak (Sandra) and Dennis Oak (Jerri); daughter Donna Palmer (Sean); sister Barbara Fields (Charles); step son David Mistic; step daughter Martha Bodell (Ted); grandchildren Hannah, Hillary, Kerri, Kirsten, Michael, Tiffany, Andrew and Adam; great grandchildren Landon and Brylee. He was preceded in death by his first wife Patricia Oak.
