Frankie Brin 74’s wins Top Bracket in the FHCASA March Madness Tournament

Frankie Brin Financial (FBF) 74’s traveled to Diamond Plex Sports Complex in Winter Haven, FL to participate in the FHCASA March Madness Tournament on March 3-4, 2018. The team went 3-1 while playing in the top bracket of the 74 plus Division.

In the 1st game on Saturday, FBF won 20-9 over Lakeland 74s. In the 2nd game, FBF run-ruled Woodlawn Hitting Club 20-5.

On Sunday FBF played two games against Chadwell Supplies for the Championship. FBF won the 1st game 13-5 and lost the second game 17-15 (8 innings). Both teams were 3-1, but FBF won by the second tie-breaker, runs given up. In the 4 games, Frankie Brin Financial gave up a total of 36 runs vs 65 runs given up by Chadwell Supply.

Manager Bob Fuhst summed up the tournament by stating that the team played very well on offense and defensive.

John Ramage did a fine job pitching all four games.
