Flooded golf courses, more sinkholes in The Villages photographed by readers of Villages-News.com

Villages-News.com readers have been busy documenting the devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Irma.

Perhaps none show the magnitude quite like this photo taken by FAA certified drone pilot, George Meidhof, over Turtle Mound Golf Course.

More than half of the course was turned into a lake that stretches from one edge of the course to the other.

The flooding that accompanied Hurricane Irma has left multiple courses around The Villages with similar problems. We’ve got an update on the status of  golf courses in The Villages.

And with some flood waters receding, sinkholes are opening up all around in their wake. Sinkholes at Cane Garden Country Club, the Village of Santiago, the Village of Alhambra and the Village of Glenbrook.

A reader shared this photo of a sinkhole that opened up in the Village of  St. Charles.
