Firefighters respond to fire in trash truck on Rolling Acres Road

Trash in the rear portion of a trash truck caught fire at about 1 p.m. Friday at the entrance to the transfer station on Rolling Acres Road.

Lake County firefighters responded to the call and extinguished the fire in the truck at Little Dirt Road and Rolling Acres Road.

Lake County sheriff’s deputies also responded to the scene.

The cause of the fire in the trash being hauled in the truck was not immediately known.
