FHP looking for white truck involved in crash that killed 31-year-old man in Marion County

The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a white truck involved in crash Tuesday morning that killed 31-year-old man in Marion County.

FHP was notified at 7:48 a.m. Tuesday of a truck that struck a pedestrian at State Road 200 at SW 88 Terrace.

It is believed that the pedestrian was struck by the front of a 2008 to 2011 Nissan Frontier truck, that is white in color. The pedestrian was killed and the truck that struck the victim fled the scene. The truck has damage to the grill.

The man who died has not been identified pending notification of next of kin.

The Florida Highway Patrol is requesting anyone with information about this crash, the driver of the truck or the location of the truck to immediately call the FHP Communications Center at 1-800-387-1290 or Crime Stoppers of Marion County.
