Fann Edwards

Fann Edwards (nee:Kosmitis), 89, of The Villages, FL, formerly of Oak Forest, IL and Naples, FL passed away February 7, 2018 at Freedom Pointe Health Facility, The Villages, FL with her daughter, Elaine, by her side.

Born on November 5, 1928 in East Chicago, IN, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (nee: Pavlides) Kosmitis. She was married for 58 years to William V. Edwards Sr, who predeceased her in 2009.

Her daughter Karen (Jerry) Wofford of Spartanburg, SC, predeceased her in 2017.
She is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Jim) Boyer of The Villages, FL, son William V. Edwards Jr. of Chicago, IL, 4 grandchildren, Ashley Edwards, Captain Christopher (Jennifer) Boyer, Kathryn Boyer, and William V. Edwards III, great-grandson, Jack Boyer, and a brother, Thomas (Harriet) Kosmitis, and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Fann retired from United States Steel Corp. in Chicago, IL after more than 25 years of dedicated service. She and her husband, Bill, operated a family owned business for many years.

Fann loved listening to music and watching movies. She was very artistic and enjoyed floral arranging and making arts and crafts projects.

An interment service for Fann and her husband, Bill, will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg, FL.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Fann’s name may be made to Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages, FL.
