Marion County sheriff’s deputies were summoned Sunday night after a drunken brawl broke at a popular beachfront restaurant.

A 28-year-old man earlier in the day had been having a disagreement with a 20-year-old woman over their relationship. He went to Eaton’s Beach Sandbar & Grill at Lake Weir to get away from the situation. However, the woman, her brother, uncle and other family members went to the restaurant and found and confronted the man near the bathrooms at the restaurant. The heated verbal exchange turned physical and soon restaurant employees were trying to break up the disturbance, according to an incident report from the sheriff’s office. With the exception of the 20-year-old woman, all parties were intoxicated, the report indicated.

There were no arrests, but a total of six people were ordered to stay out of the restaurant in the future.
