Driver without license arrested after blowing through stop sign at Village of Fenney

Jose Gonzales Reyes

A driver without a valid license was arrested after blowing through a stop sign at the Village of Fenney.

Jose Gonzales Reyes, 29, of Belleview, had been at the wheel of a white Chevy van at 6:42 p.m. Wednesday when he failed to stop at a stop sign at County Road 505 and Fenney Way, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

During a traffic stop, Reyes, who was born in Mexico, admitted he has never held a driver’s license in the United States.

He was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license. He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $500 bond.
