Driver ticketed as result of crash at County Road 466 and Rolling Acres Road   

A driver was ticketed as the result of a crash Thursday at the intersection of County Road 466 and Rolling Acres Road.

Matthew Paul Silva, 28, of Summerfield, had been at the wheel of a 2006 Ford Explorer at 4:44 p.m. heading east on County Road 466 approaching the left turn lane to turn onto Rolling Acres Road, according to an accident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

A two-car collision occurred Thursday at County Road 466 and Rolling Acres. Road.

He turned into the path of a 2012 Hyundai Accent driven by 54-year-old Lisa Marie Wilson of Deland. She had been westbound on County Road 466. Her vehicle had to be towed from the scene by Kling Towing.

She and Silva were treated at the scene by Lake EMS.

Wilson had a small dog in her car which escaped injury.

Silva was ticketed on a charge of failure to yield while making left hand turn.
