A doctor at Premier Medical Associates in Ocala reportedly was approached by a patient who was desperate for Fentanyl patches.
The doctor said the incident occurred Wednesday afternoon at the medical office located at 9311 SW Hwy. 200 in Ocala. The doctor told the patient the patches had been discontinued for her and that she had instead been prescribed Percocet.
The patient then threatened to go to the street and purchase heroin, according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. She told the doctor she expected to be dead in two to three days.
The doctor reported the incident to law enforcement.
