Deputy investigates burglary at Tropicana Village home in Belleview

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy was called to a home in Tropicana Village in Belleview after several items were reported missing from a shed.

According to a sheriff’s office report, the real estate agent for the owner of a home for sale in the 13100 block of SE 47th Court reported the burglary, which involved items in a detached shed. The deputy also spoke with the owner of a company that’s been hired to sell items from the residence, who said she last saw the shed intact around noon April 15.

When she visited the home Monday, however, the woman said she found the shed door damaged. She said the items taken include a fire pit, wooden windmill, window air conditioner unit, dehumidifier, electric pump, a roll of carpet, Christmas decorative houses and miscellaneous yard games. She said the value of the stolen items is about $730.
