Congressman Daniel Webster managed to pull off a switch from District 10 to District 11 after securing a win in Tuesday’s GOP primary election.

Webster defeated the son of a Villages couple, Justin Grabelle, in the Republican race with a double-digit lead.

Webster moved to District 11 after his District 10 was redrawn to include more Democrats.

District 11 includes Sumter, Marion, Hernando, Citrus and Lake counties.

Webster is seeking to replace Congressman Rich Nugent. Grabelle had served as Nugent’s chief of staff and had the endorsement of his former boss.

Webster will face Democrat Dave Koller in the general election this November.
