A husband and wife were arrested after a drunken brawl at their home in the Village of Charlotte.
David Sedita, 63, and Beth Sedita, 60, had been drinking at a local restaurant before heading home Saturday night, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Each had consumed five to six alcoholic drinks, the report indicated.
During the drive home, they got into an argument over a lost debit card.
Beth Sedita allegedly punched her husband in the chest. When they arrived home, he reportedly held her against a freezer, punched her and pulled her hair.
She locked herself in a bedroom, prompting her husband to bang on the door and eventually kick it in.
A deputy who arrived on the scene at the home on Dalkeith Terrace noted that Beth Sedita had a laceration over her eye that was “bleeding heavily.” There was also blood on the carpet.
Both were taken into custody on charges of battery and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
