A couple was arrested after allegedly attempting to steal nearly $500 in children’s clothes at Kohl’s.

Anthony Roselli, 36, was taken into custody as he was leaving the store on April 28 with a black bag containing children’s shorts, toddler apparel and junior-size clothing, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

Myla Roselli, 37, was spotted in a Kia Soul heading toward U.S. Hwy. 27/441. She was driving on a suspended license.

Anthony Roselli told police he had taken Xanax a few hours earlier and “just couldn’t help himself,” the arrest report said. He claimed Myla Roselli didn’t know he was going to take the items and had no part in the theft.

He was arrested on a charge of retail grand theft and booked at the Lake County Jail on $2,000 bond.

She was arrested on a charge of driving while license suspended  and jailed on a $1,000 bond.
