Country songstress Crystal Gage added to lineup of VHA Hoedown Saturday at Polo Fields

The Country and Western Hoedown scheduled for this Saturday, Jan. 27 at The Villages Polo Fields has just added national recording country artist Crystal Gage to the musical line-up for the day. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is filled with non-stop music and western entertainment.

VHA event organizer Joan Testa encourages people to come on out on Saturday. “Good weather is predicted. The cowboys are putting on their spurs, the bouncy houses are inflated waiting for the energetic kids and PT Mortimer is ready to show some magic.”

The Mounted Horse Drill Team and the Six-Gun Territory Gun Fight Show will perform. Audience members will have an opportunity to participate in the entertainment during the scheduled time for line dancing.

There is a kid’s zone with many activities including rock climbing, mechanical bull roping and an animal petting zone.

In the afternoon there will be a Cowboy Stew Cook-off. In addition to all the Cowboy stews, there will be other food vendors and beer and wine for purchase.  Elaborately decorated western-style booths will be competing for best booth.

Voyage self-driving taxis will be on display. 

Tickets are $7 in advance at The Villages Box office. Tickets will be available day of at the Polo Fields for $8. Stadium Seating is available for $15. The $3 wristbands to taste the stews will be available for purchase at the Hoedown. Proceeds of this VHA event benefits The VHA Community Foundation, Helping Hands and The Villages Regional Hospital Auxiliary Foundation.
