A convicted sex offender was arrested early Friday morning after showing up at Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza in The Villages.
A store manager notified the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office shortly after midnight after she spotted 39-year-old Thomas Joseph Incorvaia Jr. of Oxford. She was aware that Incorvaia had previously been trespassed from the store.
Incorvaia admitted to a deputy that he knew he was barred from entering the store, and said he “meant to go to Publix earlier and ran out of time,” according to the arrest report.
The deputy verified that Incorvaia had been placed on the store’s trespass log in 2016, after he allegedly threatened to kill a Wal-Mart employee.
He was arrested on a charge of trespassing and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $1,000.
In 2004, Incorvaia was convicted in Marion County on charges of lewd and lascivious molestation and exhibition.
