Congressional candidate Justin Grabelle hosted a grand opening for his campaign headquarters located in La Plaza Grande Professional Center on Tuesday afternoon.
Many Villagers who showed up in support for the candidate were greeted by the Grabelle family and were able to chat with the Republican candidate, his wife and their young son, George.
The former chief of staff to Congressman Richard Nugent, who currently represents District 11, described the headquarters as a place where people could come to learn more about him and get involved with the campaign.
With parents residing in the Village of Amelia, Grabelle is no stranger to Villagers.
“He’s just great,” said campaign volunteer Doris Stepka who met Grabelle last August and has been a staunch supporter ever since.
Among those in attendance were District 12 candidate David Gee and his campaign manager Stephen Shylkofski, who both understood what it was like to open a headquarters and wanted to share their support.
Grabelle’s campaign manager Nick Catroppo explained that an overwhelming amount of volunteers have already been coming in and out making calls at the headquarters’ phone bank.
Those interested in volunteering can visit the headquarters from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and make calls at the phone bank.
The office is located on 25 La Grande Blvd. right next to the Post Office on the Historic Side of The Villages. For more information, visit JustinGrabelle.com
Grabelle is facing Congressman Daniel Webster in the Aug. 30 primary. Webster is leaving District 10 after it was redrawn to include more Democrats.
