Combat Veterans to Careers receives $10,000 grant from Bank of America

Combat Veterans to Careers has received a $10,000 grant from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation. The non-profit’s board of directors received the check this week at its meeting in The Villages.

Founded in 2012 in The Villages, Combat Veterans to Careers serves combat veterans and families by providing valuable resources for education and employment development, personal and family wellness and affordable housing support.

Jodie Hardman, Bank of America’s market manager for Central Florida, met with the Combat Veterans to Careers board of directors to present the $10,000 grant.

“Bank of America is pleased to partner with organizations like Combat Veterans to Careers to help veterans successfully transition from their military service,” said Hardman. “We support the pursuit of employment opportunities, job training, vocational certification and higher education for service members, their spouses and caregivers.”

Combat Veterans to Careers is one of ten Central Florida organizations receiving a total of $170,000 in Workforce Development and Education grants from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation. Grants are also being awarded to the Hispanic Business Initiative Fund of Florida, Elevate Orlando, YMCA of Central Florida, the Black Business Capital Financing Corporation, the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools, the Foundation for Seminole State College, the Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools, Quest and Christian Help.
