The Big Cypress and and Collier Recreation Centers will have grand opening ceremonies on Sept. 6.
The ceremony for the new Collier Recreation Center will be at 9:30 a.m. that day and the Big Cypress Recreation Center will open at 10 a.m.
“Where else can you live where they have a grand opening for two recreation centers on the same day?” asked John Rohan of the Villages Recreation Department.
The new Big Cypress Recreation Center will have a family pool.
There are now 70 swimming pools in The Villages, Rohan added.
