Charles Ernest Davis, A/K/A Ernest Davis of Leesburg, FL, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017. He was born in Umatilla, FL and moved to Leesburg in 1989.
He was the owner and operator of his trucking company. He was a proud Seminole Indian and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a Christian and a member of the International Free and Accepted Modern Masons, Seminole Lodge Number 449.
He is survived by his children, Steven, Trizana, Nigel and Ernest Jr; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is predeceased by his wife, Mae C. Davis; father, Eddie Hill Davis; mother, Daisy Turner; brothers, Sonny, Benny, Rollie, Willie and sisters, Loraine, Lena Mae and Joan.
Visitation will be held at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, Leesburg on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 1:30 p.m. Graveside Services will be held at 3 p.m. at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis with Pastor Lillian Anderson officiating.
