Central Florida League Fall 2017 Highlights Week Three

At the end of the third week of Fall softball action only two teams remained undefeated in the Central Florida League.

In the first match up between unbeaten teams Paul Davis Restorations defeated Arden Jewelers 15-13.

Stroking three hits each were: Art Anton, Mike Jeffries, Conrad Strassle, and Jim Moyer. Adding a pair of hits for Paul Davis were: Chick Cicatelli, Bob Buchanan, Jim Wiegand, Mark Isom and Jeff Stein. Leading Arden Jewelers with three hits were: John Ashby, Mark Hildebrand, Bill Reed, and Jim White. Rod Severson, Paul Isenberg, Don Mulneix, and Al Mahar slugged a pair of hits each in the loss.

The second game to feature undefeated teams saw FBC Mortgage best Humana 15-10.

Leading FBC was Gary DePalma with three hits including a three run homer in the first inning. Howard Charney smacked a three run homer in the second inning as he joined Rocky Spottswood, Tim Wilcox, John Leone, Ed Joseph, Jim Joseph and Bob Ivison in adding a pair of hits each for the winners. Humana was led by the three hits of Tom McGann, Bob Roth, and Jim Kitzler. Contributing a pair of hits were: Mark Rich, Vin Stebbins and Jim Sherman.

Previously unbeaten IHOP fell to the Firecrackers 11-6.

The Firecrackers got three hits each from: Pat Perkins, Chuck Alexander, and Jack Meagher. Adding two hits each were: Tim Carroll, Don Brozick, Dave Williams, and Gary Arnold. The Firecrackers infield turned three double plays. IHOP had three hits from: John Charles, Randy Bowen, and Gary Roth. Chipping in a pair of hits were: Maury Fjestad, Rich Bergman, Ron Goldman, Bob Jacques, and Gary Coleman.

Palm Ridge Dental bounced back from last week’s loss by defeating Babiarz Law 9-7.

Leading the Dental squad with two hits each were: Ed Haith, Ed DeMaio, Gary Nicolay, and Joe Mayer. Babiarz Law had three hits from Dennis Bauch and two hits each by Carl McWilliams, John Plunkard, and sub, Mark Collette.

Synergy Wealth scored in all but one inning and bested Fross & Fross 15-10.

Rick Duemler, Rick Fredieu, and Paul Robinson led Synergy with four hits each. Chipping in three hits were: John Reedy, Dale Neff, and George Kennedy. Fross & Fross had four hits by George Loew and Al DuBuc. Contributing three hits each were: Ron Rowe and Dave Pope, while John Gouin, John Kushner, Mike Labetti, and Duane Miller added two hits each.

Softball’s R Game got in to the win column by besting Gators Brownwood 14-8.

Leading Softball’s R Game with three hits apiece were: John Buchanan and Mike Hyott. Adding a pair of hits each were: Ed Krisha, Bob Holbert, and Jim Stencil. Jim Lambert had three hits for Gators. Contributing two hits each were: Charles Clare, Jim Morton, and Mark Goodwin.
