CDD 7 supervisor raises safety concern about tunnel under County Road 466A

A Community Development District 7 supervisor has raised a safety concern about a tunnel under County Road 466A.

The tunnel, officially known as Tunnel B21, is located near Sumter Grand and Sumter Place at Killingsworth Way.

There is an small road near Sumter Place which provides golf cart access to the main artery of the multi-modal path.

“There is no visibility. Those people can’t see,” said CDD 7 Supervisor Mark Gallo, who for years has been active in the Villages Homeowners Advocates golf cart safety program.

CDD 7 Supervisor Jerry Vicenti concurred with Gallo and suggested the issue be turned over to the Multi Modal Path Discussion Group which is currently working on signage for the golf cart paths.

This tunnel under County Road 466A is a concern for Community Development District 7 supervisor.
