Carl George Schatz

Carl George Schatz, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in Leesburg, Florida. Carl was born in Manchester, New Hampshire. He and his wife of 61 years, Frances, were married in 1955 and throughout their life enjoyed traveling the globe with Hawaii being one of their favorite destinations. In the year 2000, he and his wife moved to the Leesburg area from Plant City, Florida.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked for AT&T and IBM for his entire career. Carl was an active member of Corpus Christi Episcopal Church in Okahumpka, Florida and also enjoyed his time volunteering for Leesburg Regional Medical Center.

He leaves behind, to cherish his memory: daughters Donna Daniels of Glastonbury, CT and Linda Schatz of West Hartford, CT; sister Ruth Rowley; 5 grandchildren Julie, Chris (wife Eva), Caroline, Matt and Casey; and great-grandchild Ada Elisabeth. He loved them all dearly.

He is preceded in death by his wife Frances S. Schatz, with whom he had a full and happy life with.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Corpus Christi Episcopal Church, 3430 County Road 470, Okahumpka, Florida 34762.

There will be a celebration of life on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 10 a.m., located at Corpus Christi Episcopal Church.
