Blue Wave apology

To the Editor:

My recent letter, The Coming Blue Wave, failed to acknowledge the profound wisdom and knowledge of the Democratic Party leadership. Therefore, here are four illustrative quotes which demonstrate the incredible intellectual depth of liberal leadership.
1. Al Gore said, “A zebra does not change its spots.”
2. Marion Barry, former mayor of Washington, D.C. said, “If you take out the killings, Washington actually has a very, very low crime rate.”
3. Harry Reid said, “Seniors love getting junk mail. It’s sometimes their only way of communicating or feeling like they’re part of the real world.”
4. Barrack Obama said during a 2008 campaign stop that he had visited “57 states.”
I often wonder in which of the 57 states does the spotted zebra live. I also wonder what schools they attended. Maybe the liberal leadership forgot to follow the wisdom of Mark Twain, who professed, “I never let my schooling interfere with my education.”
