Barbara A. Sullivan

Barbara A. Sullivan

The center of Barbara’s life was her family.  Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother for over 61 years.  She was born October 15, 1935 in Bronx, NY, and she graduated from St. Barnabas High School.  Barbara was employed as a secretary in a large corporation in NYC.  She and John met in the north Bronx section of New York, dated at her high school dances and were happily married June 16, 1956 at St. Barnabas Church in the Bronx.

They had two sons, Steven and Michael.  They spent many years together living in the different states while John was in the US Army and as a high school teacher in NYC.  Barbara has joined her son Michael in Heaven with God, March 26, 2018.  Their retirement years were spent in Cape Cod, Texas and Florida.  Throughout all of these happy years with her family, Barbara also loved dogs.

Visitation will be at Hiers-Baxley Funeral & Cremation Life Event Center, 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages Sunday, April 1, from 3 – 5 p.m.  Barbara’s funeral Mass is scheduled for Monday, April 2, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Timothy Church, The Villages, Florida.  A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 4, at Newtown Square, PA, and the burial will be at St. Peter and St. Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.

The family recommends memorials be sent to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 1351 Paige PL, Lady Lake, FL 32159
