Bandits steal 15 guns from Ocala pawn shop

Classic Pawn & Gun in Ocala

Thieves stole 15 guns from an Ocala pawn shop during an early Monday morning smash-and-grab burglary.

The three bandits made off with seven Glock pistols and eight rifles valued at more than $9,000, the Ocala Police Department said in a news release.

Surveillance footage, which was released by the Ocala Police Department, shows the burglars breaking the front-door glass before entering Classic Pawn & Gun, located at 33 NW 10th Street in Ocala, just before 3 a.m. Monday. Two of the hoodie-clad perpetrators went straight to the firearms area, with one quickly jumping over a display case before taking the guns, surveillance footage showed.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact Det. Miguel Gauthier at (352) 427-3242 or Crime Stoppers at (352) 368-7867. Tips can remain anonymous.
