An Ocala assisted living facility recently made a donation to the Marion County Sheriff’s K-9.

Officials at the Brentwood at Fore Ranch assisted living facility present a donation for the Marion County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit to Dep. Branden Donahue recently.

Officials at the Brentwood at Fore Ranch assisted living facility presented a check to K-9 Dep. Branden Donahue for $2,360 that was raised through a pet show at the center in March.

Donahue and his K-9, Tipster, spent time mingling with the facility’s residents. Donahue also told them about his unit.

Sheriff’s officials said the donation will be used for “tools and toys for our four-legged deputies.” The department also offered thanks to Ginny Vinson, director of sales and marketing, for putting together the event.
