Angelo Joseph Bertolino

Angelo Joseph Bertolino, 94, of The Villages, FL, passed away at The Villages Hospital on July 9, 2017 with his family by his side. He is preceded by his wife, Anna who passed away on May 29, 2012. He was born on August 18, 1922 in East Boston, Massachusetts to Andrew and Vita Bertolino.

He graduated from East Boston High School in 1940. He served in the U.S. Navy during both World War II and during the Korean War. He worked at the United Shoe Corporation in Beverly, Massachusetts as both a machinest and as a project estimator. He held a B.A. in teaching from Salem State College and a Masters in Industrial Arts from Framingham State College. He taught at Higgins Middle School in Peabody, Massachusetts and at Gloucester High School. He retired from the Gloucester School System.

He has been a resident of The Villages for over 30 years.

He is survived by his son, Andy; his two daughters, Carol and Mary-Ann; his grandchildren, Nathan George, Sean and Michealla George; and four great grandchildren, Jackson, Deakon, Jefferson and Greyson.

A public viewing will held at Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake, Florida from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2017 followed by a funeral at 11 a.m. at that location. Following the funeral he will then be interred at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida with full military honors.
