Alzheimer’s Family Organization plans free Caregiver Day in The Villages

The Alzheimer’s Family Organization, a non-profit that serves and supports families living with Alzheimer’s and dementia in Citrus, Sumter, Marion, and Lake counties, will hold a free Caregiver Day on March 9 in The Villages.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at New Covenant United Methodist Church at 3470 Woodridge Drive.  The public is invited and participants do not need to be members of the AFO to attend.  Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Speakers at the event will include AFO President Debbie Selsavage, discussing dementia communication and behaviors; and Chaplain Rich Behers of Cornerstone Hospice and Palliative Care, speaking on the three greatest needs of caregivers.

While there is no fee to attend, reservations are requested for planning purposes.
