Albert Freeman Hasselbach

Albert Freeman Hasselbach, 82, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018. He was born and raised on a farm in Wayne, Michigan on May 20, 1936 to the late Helen and Freeman Hasselbach.

Al served his Country proudly and was a veteran of The United States Army. He was a foreman for the Bloomfield Township Water and Sewer Department before retiring to Florida. Al was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching baseball and college football. Family was important to him and he loved spending time with his two granddaughters.

Survivors include daughter Terri Hasselbach; sons Todd Hasselbach (Lisa) and Timothy Hasselbach (Dawn); brothers Charles Hasselbach (Sally) and Clarence Hasselbach (Susan); sister Hilda Sawicki; granddaughters Taylor Hasselbach (finance Jeff) and Sydney Knapp (Michael).

He is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Virginia “Ginger” Hasselbach; and brother Donald Hasselbach.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 12 p.m., located at Royal Highlands Community Recreation Center, 5350 Monarch Blvd, Leesburg, FL 34748. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan.
