11 new members welcomed into Daughters of American Revolution chapter

Regent Sheri Hudson and Registrar Diane Clemmons of John Bartram Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, welcomed 11 new members to the chapter and inducted them into the National Society at the regular monthly DAR meeting on Jan. 15 at Eisenhower Recreation Center.

After Chaplain Tommyeann Belch administered the oath of membership, each new member spoke about her patriot, proudly detailing the ancestor’s involvement and contribution to the success of the Revolutionary War.

Ladies interested in identifying a Revolutionary ancestor to join DAR are cordially invited to attend the chapter’s 10 a.m. Feb. 19 meeting at Eisenhower Recreation Center. The Society promotes education, patriotism and historic preservation with community service.
