Mary Gentile was received into the arms of the Lord on December 14, 2015, with her best friend and husband, Eric, by her side.

Mary was born August 24, 1941 in the Bronx, New York.  She went to Port Richmond High School in Staten Island, New York and then attained an Associate’s Degree in Art, graduating Cum Laude from Adirondack Community College.

She is survived by her sister Barbara Benninghoff, of Freehold, New Jersey, a niece, Carolyn Duvelius, of New Jersey, and two sisters in law, Lori Mauro and Diana Gustavson. Mary will be missed by her two best friends, Pam Walker and Carol Roman.

Mary was a long time resident of Saratoga Springs and Half Moon. She was employed as a secretary at Mount McGregor with the Department of Corrections and she later retired from the Division of The Budget Albany, New York.

Mary was an avid skier and that’s how she met her best friend Eric Gustason to whom she was married for over forty seven years.  She enjoyed her daily walk with her dog Tulla in Saratoga Park.

Mary also loved to play golf at Saratoga Golf Course with her husband Eric and friend Carol. While in Florida, she enjoyed many rounds of golf with Doug and Elaine Wild.

This past summer, Mary attended the reunion of the TMO office at 109th NYAG at the Racino.

Mary was also an active member of the Moose Lodge of Spring Hill, Florida.

Mary will be privately interred in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baldwin Brothers-A Funeral and Cremation Society of Lady Lake, Florida.
