A 57-year-old Summerfield man who has been ordered to stay out of all Belk stores in Central Florida was arrested when he allegedly attempted to steal a Polo shirt from Belk in La Plaza Grande in The Villages.

A loss prevention officer spotted Luis Albert Tirado in the store in The Villages on Dec. 19. The loss prevention officer knew that Tirado had been taken into custody in a 2013 shoplifting incident at the Leesburg store. He had been sentenced to six months probation in that case and ordered to stay out of Belk stores.

The loss prevention officer spotted Tirado attempting to leave the store with the Polo shirt, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

He was booked on $4,000 bond at the Lake County Jail.
