People Dedicated to Quality (“PDQ”), the popular Tampa-based chicken chain, will open its newest location in The Villages this Sunday. The restaurant is located in Colony Plaza and will be the 25th restaurant opening in Florida since the chain opened their first in Tampa on Oct. 30, 2011.

In a little over four years, the chain has opened nearly 50 locations across eight states, with the lion’s share located in the sunshine state.

Beginning today, the restaurant will train its staff by hosting a “soft open” for invited guests. Although passersby may see traffic in and out of the new restaurant, it will open its doors to the rest of the general public on Sunday.
